Similes and Metaphors

Similes and Metaphors Instructional Video
Similes and Metaphors Song Video
Printable Lyrics
Similes and metaphors are both used to compare.  We use similes and metaphors when speaking and writing.  The GrammarSong video “Similes and Metaphors” analyzes the similarities and differences between these two forms of figurative language.  The activities support understanding of what is being compared, what the figurative language actually means, and how to differentiate between similes and metaphors confidently.
